A pop-up storybook action RPG

StarfallGrove

Four lands. Five heroes. One fallen star.

Chapter I · The Broken Beacon

The night the star fell

Three lights keep the valley safe: the Beacon on the meadow hill, the Bell beneath the roots of the wood, and the Star above the summit. Nobody alive remembers why they were lit.

Then a star falls out of the sky, and the lights begin to go out. Master Orrin walks into the dark with his lantern and does not come back. Creatures stir in the tall grass, and a shadow older than the valley starts to wake.

Its name is Umbra, the Eclipse. It wears the shape of whatever you fear the most, so no two heroes meet the same guardians, and none of them walk the same road.

Four chapters · five heroes · twenty-five guardians

Choose your hero

Five heroes. Five different stories.

Every hero has their own level, bag, spells and main questline. You can drag them on the pedestal to turn them, tap an ability to see what it does, or try on a legendary set.

One valley, four lands

Walk from the meadow to the ash

The valley is one continuous world, with no loading between lands. You pass from one land to the next through a gate in the border cliffs, and each land has its own light, weather, music, creatures and city.

Chapter I · Lv 1–6

Flower fields, farms and villages around Goldenhearth and its fountain plaza. The Beacon stands dark on its hill.

Chapter II · Lv 7–12

Lantern-lit paths under ancient roots, and the lanterns of Lanternmarket. Somewhere below, the Bell has gone silent.

Chapter III · Lv 13–18

Snowfields, frost runes and the high halls of Skyhold, below the crater where the Hollow Star came down.

Chapter IV · Lv 19–24

An ash desert of lava lakes and a smoky red night, ruled from Brasshaven. The cold Dawn Forge waits at its heart.

Anything else? The support page has more answers and a way to reach us.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your heroes are saved on your own device.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the first visit the whole game is kept on your device, so it opens and plays with no connection. The intro films are the one thing that needs a connection.

Can I move my saves to another device?

Yes. Go to Settings → Back up your saves → Export. That saves one file with all your heroes. Choose Import on the other device to bring them back.

What do I need to play?

An up-to-date browser on a phone, tablet or computer, or the app from Google Play or the App Store. You can play with touch or with a keyboard.

Is it one story or five?

It's five. Every hero has their own main questline, cutscenes, guardians and ending. The four lands and their side quests are the same for everyone.
